Ranking the 15 Best Women Performers Today in the WWE Universe

The WWE Universe continues to rage on as a more complete product. Sunday night’s Evolution 2 PLE was arguably the best premium show the company has put on this year. It featured all of the women from the three major brands (Raw, SmackDown, NXT) putting on fantastic match after match. It culminated with Naomi shockingly cashing in and winning the Women’s World Championship belt from Iyo Sky. Though there are tons of talent to choose from, this piece will rank the top 15 women in the company.

15. Blake Monroe (NXT)

We haven’t seen a ton of Blake Monroe wrestling just yet. However, she’s got all the tools to one day be a leading woman in the company. We saw her at Evolution 2, where she turned heel by costing Jordynne Grace a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. A Monroe-Grace feud likely will be a good one. As one recalls, Monroe was formerly known as Mariah May in AEW. We saw what she could do in the unbelievable saga she had with Toni Storm. That should give everyone hope that one day Monroe will be atop the totem pole within WWE.

14. Chelsea Green (SmackDown)

Green is a true superstar. She leans into her gimmick as a high-maintenance prissy brat exceptionally well. It’s ironic considering how tough Green actually is in real life (go YouTube her matches with Penta in Lucha Underground). She’s totally comfortable making a fool of herself, and her acting skills are among the best in the business. Green is uber-talented, and an eventual career in film and/or television would not be a stretch by any means.

13. Sol Ruca (NXT)

There’s something effortlessly ‘cool’ with Sol Ruca. She’s a very good, fluid athlete not too dissimilar from what Lita resembled. She’s clearly got a unique Southern California-inspired looks given her adoration for Vans (and her upbringing in SoCal). At only 25 years of age, one can bet on her NXT tenure wrapping up sooner rather than later before she jumps up to the main roster with either Raw or SmackDown.

12. Asuka (Raw)

Asuka is a rock-solid performer within the company. She’s highly versatile as a top card performer and a tag team star. The veteran wrestler is arguably the best in terms of showmanship. She genuinely seems like she’s having a blast whenever in the ring. We’re glad to see her back healthy, and a push for one of the belts seems likely given Asuka’s talent level and collective pedigree.

11. Bayley (Raw)

Bayley continues to be a fixture on WWE programming. Moving a bit more towards the middle — not a squeaky-clean babyface and not a disgruntled heel — Bayley still has a major swath of supporters within the universe. It’ll be interesting to see her direction moving forward. She’s recently been in a hot feud with Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria. Their match to kick off Evolution 2 was fantastic.

10. Giulia (SmackDown)

Giulia continues to get a major push. She was one of the bigger free agents when opting to ink a deal with WWE. Hailing from Japan, her skill-set is razor-sharp. A quick stint in NXT has been followed by a jump up to SmackDown. Giulia already has managed to become the Women’s United States Champion. As she continues to get more comfortable on the mic, the sky truly is the limit.

9. Jade Cargill (SmackDown)

Cargill is also another one getting a massive push. Her feud with Naomi has been successful — and there’s no doubt she’s valued by the company given her look. We’ve arguably never have seen such a physically-imposing and impressive specimen in the women’s division across all promotions. Cargill likely will get some sort of title push in the upcoming months. The question will be whether she sticks with professional wrestling or perhaps moves onto the entertainment industry in a full-time capacity.

8. Bianca Belair (SmackDown)

There’s somewhat of a gap between the top-eight and the rest of the field in this piece. Belair, when fully healthy, is a true star. Her athleticism is immense, and she’s over with pretty much every crowd she encounters (sans some of the ones in Europe). Now back in the mix, we’d expect her to get involved with the biggest names in the company immediately. Whether that results in another title reign is up for debate.

7. Becky Lynch (Raw)

Lynch outlasted Bayley and Lyra Valkyria to retain the Women’s Intercontinental belt on Sunday evening. Her continued arc as a heel will move into the future, and it’s something that’s seemingly energized ‘The Man’ considerably. It’ll be fascinating to see whether Bayley continues to be a pursuer of the belt — or if a new name comes to the forefront. Given Lynch’s in-ring/mic performance, we’d love a feud where she’s competing with Asuka.

6. Naomi (Raw)

Naomi is finally getting her flowers. After winning Money in the Bank, she cashed in her chance at gold in a shocking way Sunday night. After discarding Rhea Ripley, she pinned Iyo Sky to become the Women’s World Championship. It’s a fantastic rise for Naomi considering she left the company years ago only to return in 2024. Will this be a lengthy title reign — or will Naomi be a transition Champ for a bigger name? Either way, Naomi’s charisma as a heel flies off the screen in a very positive way.

5. Stephanie Vaquer (Raw)

Vaquer is arguably the hottest performer in the company right now. Her meteoric rise has come fast and furiously — from a short stint in NXT to becoming a main player on Raw. It’s not shocking she was victorious in winning Sunday evening’s battle royal. She now is set up to compete for one of the Women’s World Championships at Clash in Paris. She’s already a star in the company and there’s no telling how big she can be given her bilingual nature.

4. Charlotte Flair (SmackDown)

Flair’s talent is undeniable. The athleticism is phenomenal as is her overall pedigree. While she’s been the victim of some tough crowds over the year, those in Atlanta for Evolution 2 were hugely supportive. This could create a universal push for Flair to reenter the title picture given the fact it just changed hands with Naomi. Having said that, a Flair-Rhea Ripley feud would be a sight to see — as would one versus Jade Cargill.

3. Tiffany Stratton (SmackDown)

It’s going to be “Tiffy Time” for the foreseeable future. She bested legend Trish Stratus at Evolution 2 to retain her title belt. Stratton is very over with the fanbase…and for good reason. Her acrobatics background enables her to fly around the ring in a very impressive fashion. Stratton’s mic skills have continued to get better and better with more experience. We’re very intrigued with the plans moving forward to pit her against someone else in another feud.

2. Rhea Ripley (Raw)

Where does Ripley go from here? The crazy finish to the Main Event on Sunday evening left her title-less yet again. There may have been some moments indicating somewhat of a heel turn. It’s difficult to fully lean into this given how much Ripley is adored by the WWE Universe. While a true rockstar in every sense of the word, we wouldn’t be shocked by Ripley evolving her character a bit. Either way, we’ll be here for the next iteration.

1. Iyo Sky (Raw)

Despite Iyo Sky dropping the belt to Naomi, she’s still one of the most over performers in the business. She’s proven to be an excellent singles competitor time and time again. The visible joy and energy she brings to the ring is tangible. Sky puts her body on the line time after time — evidenced by the crazy crossbody from roughly 20 feet off luggage crates and onto Ripley. She deserves to be atop the division and firmly in the title picture for the foreseeable future.
