NFL: Ranking The Top 10 Super Bowl Contenders

Through the first 3 weeks of the season, some of the obvious contenders have been playing great football, while others are off to rough starts. Heading into week 4, these are the top 10 Super Bowl contenders:

1. Buffalo Bills

They have one of, if not the best, players in the world in Josh Allen, and will be one of the best teams this season. They should run away with their division, and the only question will be if they can beat the Chiefs in the playoffs if they meet up once again.  They are 3-0 after their win Thursday night against the Dolphins.

2. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are the defending champs, and they won their first 2 weeks. In week 3, though, they faced their toughest competition at home against the Rams, and they looked outmatched in every facet of the game early on, but mounted an amazing comeback late and blocked a field goal to win it. They are 3-0, but haven’t played their best. If one play per game went another way, they could be 0-3.

3. Detroit Lions

Throw out that week one loss to the Packers. It doesn’t matter that they lost, and it doesn’t mean they should be behind the Packers in these rankings. The Lions look to be an elite team once again. They smacked the Bears in the mouth in week 2 and then went into Baltimore and ran the ball down their throat. They also sacked Jackson 7 times.

4. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams defense continues to impress like they did toward the end of last season. Their offense looks complete with the addition of Davante Adams this offseason. He and Puka Nacua might be the best WR duo in the NFL. Although they blew their lead against the Eagles, the fact that they played them so tight in Philly moves them up in the rankings.

5. Los Angeles Chargers

They are 3-0 after a huge win against the Broncos, and they have a 2-game lead on the division already in just 3 weeks. Herbert is playing his best football, and the defense is an elite unit.

6. Baltimore Ravens

The defense let them down in week one in Buffalo and let them down again in week 3 at home against the Lions. They are still one of the most talented rosters in the league, and they’ll figure it out.

7. Green Bay Packers

Through the first two games this season, the Packers beat 2 of the top 3 teams in the NFC from a year ago. In week 3, they struggled offensively against a good Browns defense in Cleveland and then blew a 10-0 lead late to lose the game. They will bounce back in week 4 against the Cowboys.

8. Washington Commanders

They might be considered overrated by some people, considering their wins this year came against the Giants and the Raiders. The bottom line is this, though: the defense is improved from last season, and Jayden Daniels can win any game against any team, and they won in week 3 without him.

9. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts have started the season 3-0 and look excellent on both sides of the ball. Daniel Jones looks like an MVP candidate, Jonathan Taylor looks like he could be one of the leagues top rushers, and their defense and special teams look great too.

10. Kansas City Chiefs

It’s a little early to write off the Chiefs. Yes, they are 1-2, but this team knows what it takes to win, and at some point, they will get both Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice back. They play good defense, and they have one of the best players in the game in Patrick Mahomes and if they make the playoffs, they will always be a tough out.
