NFL: Ranking The Top 10 Super Bowl Contenders

As week 5 in the NFL begins, these are the 10 teams who have the best chance at competing for a Super Bowl this season:

1. Buffalo Bills

They have one of, if not the best, players in the world in Josh Allen, and will be one of the best teams this season. They should run away with their division, and the only question will be if they can beat the Chiefs in the playoffs if they meet up once again.  They are 4-0 after their win over the Saints.

2. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are the defending champs, and they have begun the season with a 4-0 record. Although none of their wins have been overly convincing, they are showing their championship pedigree by being able to win close games, which is something that will serve them well during the playoffs.

3. Detroit Lions

Throw out that week one loss to the Packers. It doesn’t matter that they lost, and it doesn’t mean they should be behind the Packers in these rankings. The Lions look to be an elite team once again. They have now won 3 in a row and both their offense and defense look ti be playing at an elite level.

4. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams defense continues to impress like it did toward the end of last season. Their offense looks complete with the addition of Davante Adams this offseason. He and Puka Nacua might be the best WR duo in the NFL. The Rams bounced back from a tough loss to Philly with a big win over the Colts, who entered the game at 3-0.

5. Los Angeles Chargers

They are 3-1 after a tough loss to the New York Giants. It was a shocking loss for sure, but West Coast teams heading East for an early start traditionally struggle. This team still has an elite offense, and its defense will be one of the best teams in the AFC this season.

6. Kansas City Chiefs

They look like the Chiefs again. After winning in week 3, they made a huge statement in week 4, dominating the Ravens. Not only did they move to 2-2 now, but they also saw the Ravens move to 1-3. Xavier Worthy is back, and Rashee Rice will be back in a few weeks, too. They are dangerous once again.

7. Green Bay Packers

They haven’t looked their best the past 2 weeks, but this team is very talented and will only get better as the season progresses. They do need to get their run game going with more consistency, but Josh Jacobs is still making plays. They also need to play better on the road. Their 2 worst games have been on the road, and they’ve been against inferior opponents.

8. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts started the season 3-0 and look excellent on both sides of the ball. Although they suffered their first loss of the season in week 4, it came on the road in Los Angeles against the Rams, who are one of the best teams in football. They proved they can contend with the top dogs.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

They fell to 3-1 after losing to the Eagles in week 4, but they played tough, especially after falling behind big early on. Bucky Irving and Baker Mayfield are both fantastic, as is the rookie Emeka Egbuka. Mike Evans will return eventually, too.

10. Denver Broncos

They dropped a little in the rankings this week after their loss to the Chargers in week 3, which followed the loss to the Colts in week 2. They could have won both those games, but couldn’t make the big plays when it mattered most. Even now, sitting at 2-2, they have to beat quality opponents before they can move up the rankings.
