NFL: Ranking Offensive Lines (AFC South)

The offensive line can boost or cripple the offense. The entire division made some pivotal changes for the 2025 season. Here’s who is protecting the QBs and opening lanes for the RBs.

Houston Texans

Houston may have new starters at each position with newcomers Cam Robinson (LT), Laken Tomlinson (LG), Jake Andrews (C) and Aireontae Ersery (RT). Even Tytus Howard may shift to RG. It can be complicated to have so many new starters, but overall it should be an improvement from last year.

Tennessee Titans

Tennessee signed Dan Moore Jr. (LT) and Kevin Zeitler (RG) in free agency a year after Lloyd Cushenberry III (C). Last year’s top-10 pick JC Latham moves to RT. 2023 first-rounder Peter Skoronski (LG) rounds out the starters. They have a big responsibility to protect rookie QB Cam Ward.

Indianapolis Colts

Indy lost Ryan Kelly (C) and Will Fries (RG) in free agency but proactively added their replacements with Matt Goncalves (3rd-Rd – RG) and Tanor Bortolini (4th-Rd – C) in the 2024 draft. 

Jacksonville Jaguars

Walker Little (LT) took over after the Jags traded Cam Robinson to the Vikings last season. Mitch Morse (C) retired so Liam Coen brought Robert Hainsey with him from the Bucs. The Jags replaced Brandon Scherff (RG) with Patrick Mekari in free agency. 

Most Concerning

While all of the teams made changes, none are as dramatic as the Texans possibly having new starters at all 5 positions. Chemistry for the o-line isn’t built in the preseason; it’s built in-season and could lead to a slow start by Houston. Protecting C.J. Stroud is of the utmost importance, so they hopefully can figure things out as fast as possible.
