The NFC North is through the first six weeks of the 2025 season. With more than half of the season remaining, Detroit continues to look like the favorite to win the NFC North. It’s been said time after time that this division is the NFL’s most competitive, but the notion holds water. The NFC North is the only NFL division with each team having a winning record through six weeks. As each team gears up for the upcoming week, here are the NFC North divisional power rankings heading into week seven.

1. Detroit Lions Record: 4-2 (Last Week’s Ranking: 1)

Detroit enters the week as the current darlings of the NFC North. The team dealt with hiccups, but has an offense and defense in the top 10. The Lions are one of the only teams featuring a quarterback, running back, and wide receiver among the NFL’s top 10 at their respective positions. Detroit continues to improve each week and has the division on notice. Week 7 features a Monday Night battle against the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

2. Green Bay Packers Record: 3-1-1 (Last Week’s Ranking: 2)

Green Bay’s start to the 2025 season has seen its defense ahead of its offense. However, last week saw the offense produce its best game of the season. It was only a matter of time before the talented group performed in all four quarters. The Packers seem to have turned a page following their BYE week and remain Detroit’s top threat for the division crown. Green Bay heads to Arizona for its Week 7 matchup.

3. Minnesota Vikings Record: 3-2 (Last Week’s Ranking: 3)

Head coach Kevin O’Connell deserves high praise following injuries to quarterback J.J. McCarthy and running back Aaron Jones. Add in a depleted offensive line, and it’s hard to find another team that would have a winning record through five games. Minnesota’s ability to weather the storm of injuries can be attributed to its 6th-ranked defense. The Vikings’ defense has surrendered 289.8 yards per game and is one of three teams to hold opposing teams under 100 total points. The Vikings have a tough Week 7 matchup as they prepare for the arrival of the Eagles.

4. Chicago Bears Record: 3-2 (Last Week’s Ranking: 4)

It’s amazing what a BYE week can do for a team, and Chicago took a major step forward coming out of its off week. The Bears have struggled for production on the ground and in stopping the rush. Last week, Chicago made the necessary adjustments and finished with a victory. Through five games, the offense is an up-and-coming, highly productive unit, and the defense has the second-most forced turnovers. If the Bears have found their niche offensively and defensively, they could find themselves in the playoff hunt. However, they still have six games remaining against division opponents. Week 7 will see Chicago host New Orleans, with the hope of rattling off a fourth consecutive victory. This can be the first year since 2023 that an NFL division has each team finish with a winning record.
