Six weeks of the 2025 NFL season have been completed. Each week, we’ll monitor every team in the AFC South with an eye towards their ability to compete for the divisional crown. Here’s how the four teams stack up after five weeks of action.

At 5-1, the Colts sit atop not only the AFC South but the entire AFC. Their only loss this season was to the Rams in Los Angeles. Now, in the words of Biggie Smalls, the Colts are “going, going, back, back, to Cali, Cali.” This time, the trip to L.A. is to face the Chargers. The Colts played four of their first six games at home. They’re 1-1 on the road with the lone victory coming over the Tennessee Titans.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2)

Similar to the Colts, the Jaguars had a lot of home games out of the gate. This week, they’ll face the only team that’s beaten the Colts, the Rams. It’ll be the third straight home game for Jacksonville and the fifth of their first seven matchups to be played in Duval County. After the Rams game, Jacksonville will get their bye, followed by four road trips in their next five games.

3. Houston Texans (2-3)

The Texans rode a two-game winning streak into their bye last week. Now, they too head out west like Indy. They’ll face a Seattle Seahawks team coming off a road win over the Jaguars. Seattle has played better on the road than at home over the last year. If the Texans can secure a win, it’ll make it three straight, and they wouldn’t have to leave Houston again for almost a month, as their following three games are all at home. But, they won’t be easy games as the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, and Jaguars all have four wins this season, just like Seattle.

4. Tennessee Titans (1-5)

The Titans just finished their third straight road game and played four of their first six out of town. They’ll now move on from their 1-5 start and former head coach to take on a talented New England Patriots team at home. The schedule doesn’t get any easier with a road trip to Indy, followed by the Chargers at home before they hit their bye. The Titans have two December matchups against the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints, and those should be Tennessee’s best chance to even match the three wins they totaled a year ago.
