Four weeks of the 2025 NFL season have been completed. Each week, we’ll monitor every team in the AFC South with an eye towards their ability to compete for the divisional crown. Here’s how the four teams stack up after four weeks of action.

The Colts almost came out of L.A. with a win after facing a Rams team that’s now 3-0 against the AFC South, with their lone loss being against the Philadelphia Eagles. Indy had protected the ball well in their 3-0 start before Daniel Jones threw two interceptions and a costly fumble by Adonia Mitchell right before going into the endzone.

Indy had a lead in the fourth quarter but couldn’t hold on as Matthew Stafford tossed two touchdowns in the last 3:20 of the game. The Colts return home for their next two games against the Las Vegas Raiders and the Arizona Cardinals. Both are winnable games as long as Indy gets back to protecting the ball.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1)

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (16) looks to make a throw over the Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars at Paycor Stadium on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

The Jaguars defense has been playing extraordinarily this season, along with the running game and special teams, boosting the team to a 3-1 record, which ties the Colts for the best in the AFC South. In their win, they traveled to take on the NFC West’s San Francisco 49ers and gave the previous undefeated team their first loss, making them 3-1.

In Week 4, Jacksonville showed that they have to be taken seriously. Trevor Lawrence has been well protected this season as he’s only been sacked three times. The Jags get the next three games at home before going into their bye but the competition is tough, starting with Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs, followed by two more 3-1 teams from the NFC West in the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams.

3. Houston Texans (1-3)

Houston got a much-needed win over a divisional rival in the winless Tennessee Titans. Now, they’ll have to travel to Baltimore to take on another team with the same record as them at kickoff against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Texans are getting the Ravens at a time when injuries have piled up, including stellar QB Lamar Jackson reportedly set to miss the game after leaving his Week 3 matchup with a hamstring injury. If Houston can pull out back-to-back victories, they’ll head into their bye week at 2-3 with a chance to heal, recalibrate, and self-scout to be better prepared for the final 12 games of the season.

4. Tennessee Titans (0-4)

The Titans were shut out last week against a previously winless Texans team. They have nothing going good for their team outside of the play of defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. Now, they’ll face opponents on the road in three of their next four games.

The Titans could be 0-9 at their bye and look like a team that won’t even match their win total of three games from the season prior. The biggest storylines in Tennessee will be concerning the firing of head coach Brian Callahan and what contending teams add veteran players from a Titans roster that should be in sell-off mode.
