Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season is upon us. Each week, I’ll look at the AFC South matchups and give you a couple of bold predictions for those games. The Houston Texans are on a bye this week. The Jacksonville Jaguars have the toughest matchup of the division with a home game against the 3-2 Seattle Seahawks. The Indianapolis Colts will also be at home against a NFC West opponent in the 2-3 Arizona Cardinals. A week after securing their first win of the season, the Tennessee Titans have a winnable game in a road trip to Las Vegas to play the Raiders.
Indianapolis Colts: Michael Pittman Jr. has the Colts first 100+ yard receiving game

Adonai Mitchell had the most receiving yards in a game this year with 96 in Week 4. No other player has gone over 80 yards receiving in a game for the Colts in 2025. This game is a matchup of two of the top-4 teams in scoring defenses. Arizona’s defense ranks top-10 against the run and top-5 in the red zone and in goal-to-go percentage, but are giving up the 28th most passing yards per game. Pittman Jr. is averaging around 5 receptions for 55 yards with a touchdown catch in four of five games. This week, Pittman Jr. will go for 100+ yards on 6+ receptions.
Laiatu Latu records multiple sacks

Latu has more interceptions (2) than sacks (1) in 2025. The Colts are tied with the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers with the most players (10) with at least one sack in 2025. The sack production has been spread out for the Colts, limiting Latu’s stats. Kyler Murray has been sacked nine times in the last two games. Latu has been rushing the passer well and the production will start to show up this week with him securing multiple sacks.
Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward has his first multiple TD game

Cam Ward has only two touchdowns in his first five NFL games. The Titans and Raiders defenses are each giving up around 28 points per game this season. Las Vegas defense ranks 22nd in pass yards per game, 24th in sacks per pass attempt, and 26th in interception rate. Last week the Titans built confidence by securing their first win of the year. In the first half last week, Ward was sacked twice and completed only 5 of 16 (31%) pass attempts for 58 yards. In the second half, Ward wasn’t sacked and completed 16 of 23 (70%) pass attempts for 207 yards. The rookie will continue to grow off of that effort and will double his touchdowns from his first five games in his matchup with Las Vegas.
Calvin Ridley goes for 100+ yards with his 1st TD

Rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor has caught both touchdown passes this year. Calvin Ridley had struggled in his first four games with only 10 receptions on 24 targets for 141 yards. He almost doubled his receiving yards from the first four weeks in Week 5 when he had 131 receiving yards on five catches. The Ward to Ridley connection will continue to develop and see Ridley have back-to-back weeks with 100+ receiving yards in Week 6, while also reaching the endzone for the first time in 2025.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence has multiple turnovers

Only Geno Smith, Jake Browning and Joe Flacco have thrown more interceptions than Lawrence (5) this season. The Seahawks defense is top-3 in the NFL against the run and has the 4th-best interception rate. Lawrence lost his safety blanket last week with Brenton Strange’s injury. He’ll have to force this issue with passes to his receivers this week ,with the running game likely to struggle and not having Strange as a chain-mover. It’ll set him up to make mistakes. Lawrence will finish the game with at least two turnovers.
Brian Thomas Jr. has his breakout week with 100+ receiving and a TD

Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter had their best receiving game of the season last week. The Seahawks may get interceptions this year but they also rank 25th in passing yards given up per game and rank 17th as a defense in sacks per pass attempt. The Jaguars protect Lawrence well as they rank 5th in sacks per pass attempt as an offense. Jacksonville will have to pass a lot, Lawrence will have protection and while he may have turnovers, he’ll also find success in yardage. Thomas Jr. and the receivers will see an uptick in volume this week. The second-year wide receiver will take advantage of the extra opportunities to finally top 100 receiving yards and reach the endzone for the first time in 2025.
Houston Texans: Trade Dameon Pierce to a RB-needy team

The Texans are in their bye week, so for bold predictions this week, I’ll look at some moves Houston could make before the trade deadline next month. Pierce is in the last year of his rookie contract and is buried on a depth chart for the Texans that also has Woody Marks, Nick Chubb and Dare Ogunbowale. Houston also has last year’s 6th-round pick, Jawhar Jordan on the practice squad that they could promote if they chose to move Pierce before the deadline. The Los Angeles Chargers have had injuries hit to their backfield with Omarion Hampton and Najee Harris. Pierce could be a fit for what Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh is looking for in a cheap, short-term replacement. The Cardinals are another team that has been hit hard at the position with injuries to James Conner and Trey Benson.
Trade for a tight end

If Houston becomes buyers before the trade deadline, then the tight end position could be an area that they target. They could look to bring in someone who could upgrade over Harrison Bryant as the backup tight end or possibly even consider someone talented enough to upgrade over Dalton Schultz as his contract is set up in a way that the team could move on from him before the start of the 2026 season. Chig Okonkwo is in a contract year on a 1-4 Titans team but would Tennessee trade him in the division? David Njoku is also in the last year of his contract on a 1-4 Cleveland Browns team. Kyle Pitts will be a free agent after the season and if the Atlanta Falcons continue to struggle, he could be on the move. Houston would probably need to like him enough to want to have an extension in place before finalizing a trade. If so, he’d play with Schultz in 2025, then the Texans would utilize him with Cade Stover in 2026 and move on from Schultz. Cole Kmet and Juwan Johnson each have a few years left on their deal but both could be moved. The Chicago Bears drafted Colston Loveland in the 1st-round this year and if they start dropping games, could move on from their veteran tight end. The New Orleans Saints could start a selloff soon as they sit at 1-4. Mark Andrews and Noah Fant are a couple of veteran tight ends who may draw interest as well.
