1. Elly De La Cruz, Cincinnati Reds

Cincinnati is in the playoff hunt thanks to the strong play of Elly De La Cruz. He is the only MLB shortstop with 19 home runs, 75+ RBI, and 30+ stolen bases.
2. Bobby Witt Jr., Kansas City Royals

Witt Jr. continues to blossom into the leader of the Kansas City Royals. He is one of two MLB shortstops with 17+ home runs, 70+ RBI, and 30 stolen bases.
3. Bo Bichette, Toronto Blue Jays

Bichette continues to lead MLB shortstops in total hits. His continued strong play, and breaking out of a years long slump, has positioned Toronto atop of the AL East.
4. Geraldo Perdomo, Arizona Diamondbacks

Perdomo’s breakout campaign has gone without notice. He still leads all MLB shortstops in RBI and leads Arizona in hits, doubles, and walks.
5. Francisco Lindor, New York Mets

Paired with Pete Alonso, Lindor has kept New York in the NL playoff hunt the entire season. Lindor has led MLB shortstops in home runs for most of the season.
6. Trevor Story, Boston Red Sox

Injuries have plagued Story the past few seasons, but he’s shed the injury bug in 2025. He continues to lead Boston in RBI.
7. Trea Turner, Philadelphia Phillies

Philadelphia’s offense is a force with Turner sitting atop the batting order. He is one of three MLB shortstops with 130+ hits, 10+ home runs, and 25+ stolen bases.
8. Gunnar Henderson, Baltimore Orioles

Henderson missed the beginning of the season due to injury but made up for lost time. He leads the Orioles in hits and total bases.
9. Willy Adames, San Francisco Giants

Adames first season with San Francisco saw a slow start. Since the All-Star break Adames has kicked his slump and produced solid numbers for the Giants.
10. Jeremy Pena, Houston Astros

Pena has been the best offensive player for the AL West leading Astros. He leads the Astros in stolen bases, batting average, on-base percentage, and slugging percentage.
